SKBBK Lindung 24 – Policy Update for Employers

Published on: July 29, 2026

Contrary to what some may assume from the wording circulating online, this protection scheme has not been abolished. Rather, it has undergone a policy adjustment, with changes affecting participation requirements for different employee categories.

Key Changes

  • Local employees: Previously mandatory participation has been changed to voluntary participation.

  • Foreign employees: Participation remains mandatory. Existing requirements remain unchanged.

In practice, employers with mixed workforces—those employing both local and foreign employees—should take care to ensure their internal processes and documentation reflect the differentiated requirements. This includes reviewing current enrollment practices, aligning policy communications, and confirming that the company’s compliance approach remains consistent with the latest PERKESO requirements.

To help prevent unnecessary risk or administrative complications, we recommend reviewing your approach in line with the revised participation requirements. AFA is ready to assist.
